I am glad to greet you on the website of the Kherson State Agricultural University (KSAU), one of the prominent higher educational institutions in southern Ukraine that trains specialists for the agro-industrial complex, in the field of environmental protection, water management, civil engineering and other spheres of economy, as well as conducts research in fundamental and applied sciences. The University was established in 1874. KSAU has the IVth highest accreditation level of higher educational institutions and is the center in the southern region of Ukraine for training specialists in agriculture with university degrees. The University offers a multi-degree level of academic achievement: bachelor, specialist, master, candidate of science, doctor of science. There are specialized scientific councils for defending doctorate and candidate Sc. theses. These provide the means to train the highest qualified teaching and research staff.

About 5000 students study at the University. The fields of training are agronomy, forest, park and garden design; technology of animal production and processing; water bio-resources and aquaculture; environmental science; environmental protection and sustainable nature management; civil engineering; hydraulic engineering (water management); geodesy, cartography and land use system; accounting and audit; business economics; management. The University incorporates five faculties (agronomy, biotechnology, fish breeding and ecology, civil engineering and hydromelioration, economics), 32 departments, and 25 production divisions, the institute of postgraduate education and extension service. More than 370 lecturers are employed at the university, including 2 academicians, 3 corresponding members of NAAS; 33 doctors of science, professors; 232 PhDs (candidates of science), associate professors.
